There are no photographs of James Dennis and Elizabeth Spinks. Only one image is known to exist of one of their children and very few of their grandchildren. Their children were:
- John James Dennis (1837-1873) married in 1862 Elizabeth Whyms (1838-1871)
- Ann Elizabeth Dennis (1839-1870) married in 1856 James Chinnock (1835-1919)
- Charity Grace Dennis (1841-1906) married in 1858 William King (1838-1922)
- Mary Ann Dennis (1845-1875) married in 1861 David William Whyms (1840-1885)
- Louisa Jane Beatson Dennis (1853-1859)
- Robert Henry Dennis (1855-1856)
- Victoria Riley Dennis (1858-1866)
- Amelia Emily Dennis (1860-1911) married 1881 John Caldwell (1860-1938)
All of the children except Robert Henry are mentioned in the Dennis Family Bible.
